WTVC-TV in Chattanooga, TN., Debuts New HD News Set!

With much excitement and anticipation, WTVC-TV launched their new HD News Set last Thursday, January 31st. They were so excited to start the new year off with a brand new high tech news set! What a great way to ring in 2013!

About the set:

The design of the set is very graphics driven with large back lit graphics along the perimeter of the entire set. LED color changing lights are incorporated to provide a variety of colors and moods for their different newscasts. To keep the set grounded there are elements of wood and stone mixed in with the acrylics and metals. The custom stone finish is reminiscent of the local Chattanooga Pier area. The set is definitely technology driven, the main feature being the large 2×6 video wall in the multi-purpose area, a 1×4 strip of monitors in the Weather Center. With the rear projection screen added to the mix, they now have multiple venues to present breaking news and weather or for branding with logos and other graphics.
