WSYR is the first station in Central New York to deliver News in High Definition.

WSYR-TV needed a clean, bold, and high-tech high definition set with maximum versatility and flexibility that would set them completely apart from all their competitors and other stations in the market.  DDG delivered a high-tech, modern and bold wraparound set the combines sleek, lighted color changing diffusion acrylics with warm wood tones contrasted by clean, bright, bold and blue branded graphics.

A back-lit skyline graphical background that hangs from a horizontal tracking system behind the Main Background opening and in front of the newsroom can slide in to hide the newsroom behind and provide WSYR-TV with an entirely different look for its newscast. The anchor desk rotates to have RPS as its alternate background where the station can display subtle motion graphics and live video and graphics feeds.  The area to the right of the Main Background features a Multi-Purpose Stand Up area with a back-lit graphical background. This area is primarily used for sports and traffic presentations.

Situated to the left of the Interview Set is the High-Tech WX Center stocked with  HD monitors that displays WX related imagery.
