WPMI’s  goals were to update to an HD news set and have a strong, contemporary  new look to showcase their news presentations. The new set design definitely met that criteria.

The set is highly flexible, allowing the anchors and reporters to be mobile throughout the set, while providing them with interesting new camera angles for their news segments.

The design incorporated the latest in technology; a 2x3 NEC video wall installed in the main background behind the anchors. Other electronics include four 82” DLP’s positioned throughout the set.

The architecture of the set is sophisticated, modern and contemporary. The over feel is light, clean and fresh. The finishes include an organic, warm wood faux finish which is complimented by cool metallics and sleek acrylics. Color-changing led lights also provide a variety of moods and looks to the set.

The new set provided WPMI with a strong new look and the tools to make them number one in their market while also meeting their budget and timeline.
