The KY3 set features a top-notch working Storm Team Center, several venues for reporters and anchors to showcase the day’s top stories, and an updated look that reflected the nuances and feel of Springfield.  DDG used those goals to create an original set, not a cookie-cutter that’s already been in other markets.

The huge set includes multiple areas for stand-ups, several large-screen projectors and a large multi-purpose area for interviews and sports.  A rotating anchor desk allows for two distinctive newscast looks and severe weather applications.

The KY3 team needed a Weather Center to showcase their meteorologists and their state-of-the art weather gathering technologies.  DDG created a design that allows the weather team to work 24/7, unimpeded by regular daily news production.

The versatility of our set allowed us to change from its standard setup for the evening newscast to a completely different look for locally televised debates and election results all within a matter of minutes.
