The news set uses KSPR’s newsroom as the primary background.  The design features a unique, sleek and sophisticated palette, giving the station a unique, eye-catching look for its newscasts.  The cool hues and high-tech look of KSPR are completely different than the warm, wood-toned look for KY3, located in the same building, and also created by DDG.

DDG also created the lighting design, including fixture specifications, lighting grid design and power distribution for the studio.  DDG’s expertise in melding beautiful HD design with powerful HD technology allows KSPR to maximize the potential of their studio for news, commercial production and special projects.

DDG broke out of KSPR’s comfort zone – and broke out of DDG’s signature design trademarks.  DDG chose completely new colors and a new aesthetic for this news set, giving the station a completely different look than their sister station down the hall.
