The highlight of the set design is its versatility and flexibility. The set along with its bold textures and flexible design gives WDAF-TV variety of shootable angles and makes their newscasts stand out in the market.

DDG kept the set architecture simple and straightforward. The set represents appropriate fusion of architectural, graphical and back-lit elements that can change colors to convey different looks for different shows. The set is equipped with numerous large screen technology, allowing stations to display branded and franchise graphics quickly and easily. Common structural details were incorporated throughout the set giving the set a distinct unifying look.

The set incorporates advanced technology throughout the set including three 82" DLP's in the Main Background, additional 82" DLP in the Multi-Purpose Area where the talent can interact with live feeds and provide up to date information connecting viewers to the latest events. The set also features a RPS screen as a background of the Multi-Purpose/WX Center Area along with four additional 42" Plasmas including two rolling 42" Plasma kiosks.
