WGME News Set Installation
Friday, October 14th:
The WGME set installation wrapped up yesterday with some finishing touches being completed this morning! Everyone at WGME is thrilled with the results!
"WGME continues the successful HD rollout we experienced with DDG at WZTV Nashville, and KABB in San Antonio. DDG's entire creative team is on site today here in Portland to insure the last of this year's scenic projects comes off as good as the first. It's a rare and distinct pleasure to work with dedicated craftsman who love their work, and it shows!" Mark Nadeau, Director of TV Production, Sinclair Broadcast Group.
There was also a lot of excitement and buzz this morning in the studio, as WGME's staff & DDG's creative team were on hand for the shot blocking session.
"It's very exciting to watch the transformation at each station as the new scenic environment takes shape, WGME is really engaged in the process which makes all the difference. The shot blocking sessions are just about finished, now it's time for the finishing touch; lighting!" Dan Devlin, Creative Director, Devlin Design Group.
And no blog post is complete without some pictures! So, here are a few pictures taken during the installation the last few days.

Our third new News Set installation this year for the Sinclair Group, WGME in Portland, Maine, began this morning! The station has been filled with anticipation for the last few weeks and they are happy this day has finally arrived. The truck was unloaded early this morning and as you can see by the pictures, the scenic crew is hard at work assembling the new set.
