KTVK Set Addition Lighting Phase Continues
Day Five

The new set addition is looking great! The staff at KTVK were on hand to help out as Walter Olden (Olden Lighting), worked on lighting the talent and the set. It definitely takes a team to get a new set up and running. From the installation, placing set pieces and positioning the cameras, to lighting of the set, it is definitely a process that takes teamwork! Our Director Of Production, Hannes Kling, was on hand to assist as well!

Without further ado, here are some pictures of the new set addition! Thanks to Hannes for getting us some great shots!

The round desk rolls so it can be moved into different positions on the set.

We know that everyone at KTVK is excited about the new set addition! We can't wait to see it in action!

Thanks to our readers and followers for tuning in! Have a fabulous weekend!

KTVK-TV News Set Addition Installation, Day Three

The set install is coming along nicely and is almost complete. The new set addition for KTVK was definitely designed with versatility in mind. With one side having two large 70” monitors and the other with a rear projection screen, provides KTVK with a lot of versatility in presenting their news, whether it is breaking news stories, weather or station branding. The color changing LED lights help to create different moods and looks to the set.

The round desk, with its color changing capabilities, can be rolled around and positioned in different areas of the set. And the interview platform, when not in use, rolls back under the set as part of the design! Several of the large walls are designed with back lit graphics on acrylic. The graphics are geometric and organic in design. Their overall look changes according to the color of LED light used behind them.

Word from inside the studio this afternoon is that there is a lot of buzz and excitement as the shot blocking portion of the lighting phase gets underway!

Thanks for checking in and stay tuned for more news and pics tomorrow!
